I had to update before writing these lines on Esbat , inform me on some things and, therefore, first of all, I think oppurtuno make one comment, though trivial literature, or rather the letters (to be more precise, that is more general) now use the Web not only as a last vehicle of knowledge to the public, but most often as the matrix and the starting point.
And not only speak of, for example, literary magazines on-line, logical continuation of the paper. I refer in particular to another, to blogs that have given visibility to the authors (Christian Frascella all), forums, and even, as in this case, the fan fiction.
no coincidence Lara Mann, the author obviously has a blog (also interesting) and explains what she Esbat: The manga (and anime, I might add) that InuYasha is inspired by Rumiko Takahashi. Now, I know, in broad outline on what started the novel, but imagine the dismay when, after 20 pages of reading I find myself in front of Sesshomaru's eyes ... I did not realize it was all still wanted.
Now you can also imagine that here in Nerdvana, there was not ignorant of this stuff. Spocchiagirl so much so that, after the second stop of the anime series InuYasha (because it was becoming a bit 'repetitive), the Dark Lord with great joy, found a reason to continue watching.
Now, since the matter is long, let's outline a bit 'like this: Good things
idea. I like it for two reasons. First of all I think it is ever pleasant to recognize the things we do (read a book) something that belongs to us but we know only in another form (manga / anime). And this is only an expression of arrogance by subculture (not used in derogatory terms, mind you). Prince
The reason why the idea I found it very nice, however, is another, namely, in a nutshell, the idea of \u200b\u200bincluding the character of the manga ... and I can not tell you more.
history. That is inspired by some of the characters of the manga, but then, fortunately, goes its own way.
The mix of genres. Why a novel is usually, but contains itself in at least three categories: fantasy (urban, that have to be precise as it seems), or better splatter horror, thriller. Some also spoke of the novel aspects of training, it may be true but remains a very characteristic light.
Woman. The phases of the moon, the cycle, menopause ... Women's madness, in other words. Elio always comes to my rescue.
The concept of desire. Sexuality that what we are talking about. The sexual desire of a teenager (or a lot of teenagers) and that of a woman fifty years old. The reversal of the hormonal storms.
The Sensei. Character, I must say, very powerful and, in some ways, credibilissimo (apart from the punches thrown on the chest a boy, there really seemed to be reading the Meyer, eh!).
The irony. Thin, perhaps because it is also self-irony, the fandom.
Bad things
history. There are some areas, towards the end, where does it all a bit 'too nebulous. In terms of plot almost no longer possible to understand the actions of the characters.
characters. Besides the Sensei, there is one character who breaks out: Hyoutsuki. You could start a tirade sull'antieroe, the deadly charm (it's appropriate to say that!) That spreads this stereotype that will never become, in an absolute sense, a stereotype. It affects males and females alike, but of course, since most of the time also characterized by a considerable erotic charge, women are easy prey. Obviously, I'll put myself: InuYasha Sesshomaru is compared to a homunculus.
short, the rest of the cast of this story is, like, empty, you can not make them loyal or alive. And I think this not so interested in the construction of the characters, but the technique used:
The narrator. Or rather the narrators. Each character is. Too many points of view and too fast, and is also why some steps towards the end are unclear. With the Sensei is almost perfect, you see that there was a different job.
Caption. On Wicca and devils, and the rites and names ... Things
medium
style. Good but absolutely nothing new or earth-shattering. Yes okay, so I should have said good things in place, but these are opinions, so I can not.
I wanted to put something on New Italian Epic, but I will in another post, the next, because, in a sense, it will be seamless.
